Body of missing man Jarrad Lovison found in Moondarra.

A dead body found in Victoria’s south-east has been identified as missing man Jarrad Lovison.Detectives from the Missing Person Squad found the body after scouring bushland on Saturday during a search at Moondarra State Park, north of Moe.The 37-year-old man’s death is being treated as suspicious.Mr Lovison was last seen just after 9.45pm on April 15, riding his green mountain bike along March Street in Newborough.

Father John Lovison previously told 9News his son was well-loved by the community.”If you can imagine a seven-foot bloke carrying his dog around like a baby, on his green push bike… he’d be riding the bike with the dog in his arms, everyone has seen him around here, everyone knew him,” he said.Police have been told the man was spotted at Kmart and Woolworths in Moe earlier that day and then met with a friend on Belvedere Street in Newborough.

Mr Lovison’s bike has still not been found, with police urging people to come forward if they have any information on its location.

“Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw Jarrad in the lead up to his disappearance or has information in relation to his death, to come forward,” a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.The man was known to ride his bike around Newborough and often wore a small lighter coloured crossbody bag with his belongings inside.Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
