Republicans are seeking public testimony from Biden

Joe Biden is a leading candidate for Democratic presidential nomination threatening to re-elect Trump in next year’s presidential election.

Republicans on Saturday called for the testimony of former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s son and a whistleblower whose complaint triggered an investigation into the recall of U.S. President Donald Trump at public hearings next week.

Democrats who have a majority in the House of Representatives are likely to reject the appearance of Hunter Biden and the unidentified whistleblower in open hearings beginning Wednesday.

Devin Nunes, a Republican from the Intelligence Committee, listed Biden and the whistleblower on a list of proposed witnesses that he sent to the committee’s chairman, Democrat Adam Schiff, numerous internet portals have been published.

In the sent letter, Nunes states that Democrats are carrying out a “shameful recall process” that has hurt Trump. Nunes also accused Schiff of fabricating evidence to “defame” a phone call from Trump and Zelensky, who is at the center of the investigation.

Trump Democrats accuse in a July 25 phone call that he pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Biden, who Trump and Zelensky deny.

Biden, by his own admission while vice president and chief man for Ukraine, blackmailed the US aid of then Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire the Attorney General who investigated corruption in Burma, whose board was Hunter Biden receiving $ 50,000 a month, though he knew nothing neither about Ukraine nor about energy.

The whistleblower complaint alleges Trump used the call for personal political gain.

Trump and Republicans reject the allegations.

If the House of Representatives calls for a Trump recall, the Republican-controlled Senate will need to hold a Trump trial.

Nunes adds that Trump “should be given the opportunity to face his prosecutors.”

Schiff is likely to dismiss requests for public hearings of Hunter, the whistleblower and other witnesses.

A second transcript of the interview with Zelensky will be released Tuesday
US President Donald Trump on Saturday said the White House is likely to release a transcript of another phone interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday.

“We have another very important transcript,” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews Airport before leaving for Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

“I’m going to give you a second transcript because I’ve heard the phone twice with the Ukrainian president,” Trump added.

Trump added that a second transcript should be released Tuesday.

US President Donald Trump’s accountants have to file his tax returns for the past eight years with New York prosecutors, a court of appeals ruled Monday striking a new blow to Trump’s efforts to cover up his finances. The judgment allows prosecutors to issue a binding order for Marazr LLP to file documents. New York prosecutor Democrat Cyrus Vance asked for personal and business tax returns from 2011 to 2018 as part of an investigation into the business of the president and his family. Trump, who built his real estate empire through his New York company before joining the White House, is also facing an investigation into a possible recall in the Democrat-controlled Congressional House of Representatives.
