NO CLASS: Jeb Bush Goes After Trump By Attacking His 12 Year Old Son Barron.
Jeb Bush has never gotten over losing the 2016 Republican nomination to Donald Trump. That is no excuse, however, for attacking Trump’s 12 year old son Barron. All Jeb Bush has done here is prove that Republican voters made the right decision by passing him over.
The Washington Times reports:
Classy, dignified, substantive Jeb Bush attacks 12-year-old Barron Trump
Jeb Bush, the man who was supposed to be the Republican nominee for president in 2016 until his birth-right was stolen from him by the crass, vulgar and despicable Donald Trump, has taken his psychological obsession with his own failure to a new low… he has attacked Trump’s 12-year-old son, Barron.
Speaking at Yale University, the former Florida Governor first claimed he would not get into a re-hash of the 2016 election (what would he have to say about it, anyway? He got 3 delegates after spending $150 million of other people’s money) But, according to Yale News, he eventually exorcised some demons by looking at the sunny side of his crushing defeat.
At one point, Bush described the current president as “Republican in basically name only.” And earlier in his speech, Bush said that after the 2016 Republican primary in South Carolina, he returned home to children who “actually love me.” His comment was met with raucous laughter from the crowd, and several audience members interviewed after the event said they interpreted Bush’s comment as a jab at Trump.
How pathetic. Find a new hobby, Jeb. You clearly need something to take your mind off of politics.
This is not the first time that Jeb Bush goes after Donald Trump. Way back the former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush apparently mocked President Trump’s relationship with his family during a speech at Yale University and was quickly corrected by two of the president’s sons.
Bush, the son of former President George H.W. Bush and brother of former President George W. Bush, said he returned home after the 2016 primary race in South Carolina to children “who actually love me” without mentioning Trump during a lecture Tuesday at Yale University.
The crowd responded with wild applause and many audience members told the Yale Daily News they understood the reference to Trump.
Two of Trump’s sons shot back at Bush on Twitter, with Donald Trump Jr. proclaiming his love for his father and taking a shot at the former GOP candidate.
“Jeb! I love everything about my father. I love that he’s a fighter, I love that he has guts, I love that he’s President (all those things you’re not),” Trump Jr. posted late Wednesday night on Twitter. “Also love that he learned enough about politics in a few weeks to dismantle you piece by piece despite it being your life’s work.”
Eric Trump also defended his father.
“@JebBush I actually love my father very much. #PleaseClap,” he said.
During the Republican primary, Trump often rode Bush, who dropped out of the race after the South Carolina primary in February 2016, as “low-energy Jeb.”
Bush also joked that he didn’t want to speak about the primary race, saying “I’m still in therapy.”
